About Athletes Recovery
Athletes Recovery is a state-of-the-art inpatient treatment center where athletes can receive treatment in an environment that they are most comfortable – with other athletes. Our Partner Facilities are located in beautiful, natural environments along the California Coast North of Los Angeles and in Texas outside of Houston, where you can be assured of your privacy while you focus on your recovery.
Our team of industry leaders, both in the athletic and professional recovery world, have designed a treatment curriculum customized for the unique challenges that athletes face. Our vision is to help athletes achieve lifelong recovery by bringing together clinical treatment, nutrition, and exercise science combined with spiritual and emotional growth.
Since we are a rehabilitation program we know how important family involvement is for the treatment process to truly be successful. When an individual is diagnosed with a mental illness or is struggling with a substance abuse addiction family support is an invaluable tool to keep individuals on the right path to recovery. Not only is unconditional support needed while an athlete is in our inpatient program, but their family can help them identify triggers as well as aid in relapse prevention by helping them adhere to their continuing care plan.
Not only is biological family important to an athlete, but teammates and coaches become a large part of the treatment process as well. Since most of an athlete’s time is spent on the road or at practice they have also come to rely on their team family for emotional support. Teammates, coaches, personal trainers, and sports agents can all be important resources for helping an athlete through this difficult time.
Intervention, detox, individualized strategies for rehabilitation and an intensive after care program are all part of our comprehensive continuum of care. We champion the life inside every athlete-focusing on their strengths while building skills to ultimately overcome their addictions and give them the power and peace of recovery.
