Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment
Many of our clients are shocked to learn that they have co-occurring, comorbid disorders – the presence of two or more mental health conditions or addictions. There are a number of disorders that frequently occur together, such as depression and anxiety, or trauma and drug misuse. In order to properly treat the presenting condition – it’s imperative to properly diagnose and concurrently treat both disorders. This greatly increases the likelihood of continued treatment and a successful outcome.
When our clients first arrive at Athletes Recovery, they undergo a variety of evaluations that will allow us to determine if they are struggling with co-occurring disorders. The results of these evaluations will help us to determine the best course of treatment and the unique, client-centered elements of recovery needed to be successful.
